How do I get notified about my booking?After submitting your data on our booking page, you will receive an automatic email which confirms we received your request. However, this does not confirm your appointment yet. Once, the tutor accepts your session, we will contact you again with the appointment confirmation.

How do I request a tutoring session?Go to our Request a Tutor page. Decide which time slot and tutor suit you best from the schedule. Click on "Request Now" below the schedule. Choose your subject, tutor, date and time. Enter your data to request the session. If you face any difficulties during this process, simply pass by Veritas Hall B #322 to receive immediate assistance from our full-time tutors.

Can I pick my tutor?Yes, you can. Either by clicking going to the booking page after "Request Now" and picking your subject, or by directly clicking on the name of the tutor you want for your session.

What can I expect from my tutoring session?During your session, you will be able to work 1:1 with your tutor and discuss the areas of difficulty you are encountering. You are recommended to send your tutor contents of the chapter, exercise set or topic you need help with prior to your session so that they may give you the best support! Our tutors are here to understand and help you!

How can I become a tutor?Before the beginning of every semester, an official announcement will be posted on the UIC website to recruit TAs. You may find it in the "News and Events" section of the website. ​ The ISED office will accept applications through email for full-time and/or part-time TAs for the STEM Tutoring Lounge and will then notify you personally about the results of your application.

How do I cancel or reschedule my tutoring session?In the first email you receive immediately after requesting a session, you will find buttons labeled "Reschedule" and "Cancel Appointment". Click on the appropriate button and follow the instructions on the screen.
